We want orthodontic treatment to be accessible to people all over Hamilton and the Waikato, and for young people and adults to have smiles they’re proud of.
We provide mouthguard sponsorship to several school sports teams in our community such as Southwell, St Peters and Melville High. These are custom mouthguards that are fitted to each individual’s teeth – and we try and make it a fun, educational experience as well!
Having mouthguards that fit properly helps these students protect their teeth and avoid concussion while playing team sports – particularly ones like rugby and hockey.
We also contribute to various schools in the Waikato area through advertising. You’ll find us in Tamahere School “Divine Eats” Cookbook, published to help raise money for their new school swimming pool.
We’re also in school magazines and E-school calendars including Fairfield College, St Peters, Southwell, Melville High, Melville Intermediate, Waikato Diocesan, and Hillcrest High.
We’re proud supporters of the Wish for a Smile Trust. The Trust was formed in 2012 by the New Zealand Association of Orthodontists to provide treatment to selected children from our community who, due to financial hardship, can’t access orthodontic care.
Patients who receive orthodontic treatment through the Trust have to commit to doing 20 hours’ community work throughout their treatment.
Hamilton Orthodontics also proudly support other community organisations, including:
