About Catherine
Catherine graduated with a BDS from the University of Otago in 2010. She worked at Waikato District Health Board as a Maxillofacial House Surgeon and in private practice before returning to Otago to undertake her Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics.
Catherine’s doctoral research topic was looking at the potential use of antioxidants in the treatment of cleft lip and palate. She works with Mark and Andrew as consulting orthodontists to the Waikato DHB’s cleft lip and palate team.
Catherine is a member of:
- The New Zealand Dental Association (NZDA)
- New Zealand Association of Orthodontists (NZAO)
- The D3 Group for Developmental Dental Defects
Outside of orthodontics, Catherine looks forward to weekend travels in a 1960’s caravan, renovated by her husband, with their dog, Agnes. She is also enjoying trying out the new cafes and restaurants that have popped up since she last called Hamilton home.
